#AlwaysPlayAgain

In September of 2019, Honda was the first major automaker to make a sponsor appearance at a major gamer convention for TwitchCon San Diego. To help our audience connect with and understand why Honda is involved in gaming, we created the hashtag, #AlwaysPlayAgain, to juxtapose Honda's brand mentality of "always pushing forward" with the gamer's mindset of "continuing even after a win or loss."

By grouping our social content with the hashtag, we were able to create five different levels of social content that released periodically throughout the four weeks. All the effort culminated with livestreams from the Honda booth at Twitchcon which also included interviews with Team Liquid Athletes.

30 Years of Honda Gaming

Production Studio: Roger

We kicked off the month with our hero piece of content, "30 Years of Honda Gaming." Using vhs, dvd, and captured gaming footage, we worked with Roger to stitch together this race that showed 30 years of Honda's involvement in gaming from the early 80s till now.

Released at one per week, we worked with two Giphy Sticker Artists to create four Honda Gaming Giphy Sticker packs. By searching "Honda Gaming" in Giphy, users could apply the stickers to their vehicles and share it with us for a chance to be featured.

Despite an opportunity to work with major gaming developers using online racing stats to create meaningful content fell through, we combed through what we could to find interesting Honda in-game vehicle facts that were turned into social content for the month.

Working with Team Liquid and their own production studio, 1UP, we created social content that showed some of TL’s best players paired with a quote from them. This content also counted down the days until Honda at Twitchcon.
